Guide to Seaton

The Seaton Art and History Group has been researching and developing this ‘Guide to Seaton’, to encourage people to rediscover the Seaton area of Aberdeen and appreciate what is available locally.

The Seaton Art & History Group is a group of local adults from Aberdeen who have met weekly since January 2007. They have been exploring what Aberdeen’s museums and galleries have to offer and also finding out about interesting locations right on their door steps. They are an enthusiastic group who have a lot of interest and pride in Seaton.

The group have been exploring Seaton House and Lord Hay, St Mary’s Church, Seaton Pottery, The Links, Mrs Murray’s Cat & Dog Home, the multi stories, Seaton’s Totem Pole, Seaton School and Wildlife. The group have encouraged the wider community to contribute through various events and talks throughout the year.

The Seaton group have been supported by Arts Development, Aberdeen City Council. This project has been funded through the Fairer Scotland Fund and the Art & Engagement Project through Cultural Grants, Vibrant Aberdeen.
